Artist Statement
Art is a means by which I express my appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.  Beauty may be found in landscapes, architecture, human and animal figures, and activities.  A favorite subject of mine is musicians, and environments involving pleasurable activities, such as dining, drinking and dancing.  Since childhood I have had a deep appreciation for a variety of music, including blues, rock, country,  jazz and classical.  As a child I often listened to radio station WLAC in Nashville, TN, where all the great blues musicians were featured.  I also enjoy painting city scapes, in cities with unique architecture, such as Charleston, New Orleans, and New York. .

Dale Miller was born in, and spent his early childhood, in a small town in NE Tennessee.  He has been at times, a student, a marine, a lawyer, a salesman, a long haul truck driver, and for many years an Artist.  In the mid 1980's Dale elected to close his law practice, and move to his favorite city, New Orleans, and persue painting.  Since the 1980's he has shown his work in cities across the Eastern U.S. from  New England to Florida. At the present time Dale is focusing on accumulating, and organizing his body of work.
