Louis Daniel Armstrong, nicknamed "Satchmo", "Satch", and "Pops", was an American trumpeter, composer, vocalist, and actor who was among the most influential figures in jazz. His career spanned five decades, from the 1920s to the 1960s, and different eras in the history of jazz. He was a jazz trumpeter, bandleader and singer known for songs like "What a Wonderful World,” “Hello, Dolly,” ”Star Dust” and "La Vie En Rose.”

Eloise “Winkie” Fontaine enjoyed a 30 year history as a member of the Jackson Square art colony in the famous French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The sights and sounds of New Orleans gave her an early love for the arts and have been influential in shaping her artistic vision and impressionist style. She specializes in images of colorful jazz musicians, whimsical scenes, sports figures, and famous historic landmarks.
Winkie works from her studio in Cary, North Carolina. Winkie paints using professional artists acrylics on canvas.
